The Others
Humans like to think there is nothing paranormal on Earth other than the occasional ghost or poltergeist. So far it is to our advantage for them to keep thinking that way; sometimes ignorance is bliss.

But we know different; we are different.

Who are we? We are the Others; people who were once human who have been given amazing abilities - or curses, depending on how you look at it. There aren’t many of us compared to the sheer number of the human race, but what we lack in numbers we make up for in diversity.

Shapeshifters; able to shift into any creature on Earth, mythological or otherwise. Gifted Others; humans who have extraordinary gifts beyond comprehension: healing, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, metal manipulation, these are just a few in a very long list of potential Gifts. Vampires; the living dead, they are creatures cursed to survive off of human blood. And lastly, werecats and werewolves; humans cursed to transform into beasts at the call of the moon.

There’s just one hitch; our power comes from the Twilight, a shadowy dimension keen on absorbing energy that Others can access. And once a potential Other crosses through the Twilight and their powers emerge, the clock starts ticking.
These powers will kill an Other if they do not begin training soon afterwards.

That is where the Watches come in. They train and protect us, and to many, fellow Watchmates become like family. Like all things in life however, there is a choice to which Watch you wish to be of; the Day or the Night.

The Day Watch. They watch over humanity and protect them from the things that go bump in the night, policing all Others. They believe that these powers are given to people for a reason, and that these powers should be used to help human beings.

Night Watch agents hold a very different view than those of the Light. Why should they protect the mass of humanity that chokes the world? What’s the harm in a little mischief, a little evil. Why not be allowed to do what they want? Protection of rights? -what about THEIR rights?
They stand for all that the Day Watch is against.

There is a war brewing between these two Watches; one that has been going on for ages. Light against Dark, good against evil… right against wrong. But are things as clear as that? What happens when the line between light and dark blurs?
